WATSON, Alan

It is with great sadness that the family of Alan Watson announce his peaceful passing in the comfort of his home on Friday April 18th. He is survived by Joan his loving wife and best friend of 62 years. Much loved father of Cheryl (Greg), Shelly (John); much loved grandfather of Curtis (Sarah), Cody, Tyler, Rebecca (Damien); proud great grandfather of Landon, Ainsley and Emmalee, Brookelynne and Mason. Also survived by his sister Marian Reid (late Charles) Uncle to Kyle (Nathalie), Carolyn (Scott) and families; also survived by nephew Jimmy Clark and his mom Sandra Nunns. Predeceased by his parents Norman and Margaret Watson and his in laws Cecil and Hazel Clark; and brother in law Jim Clark.
Al and Joan met when he came to her rescue when she ran out of gas; the rest is history. He retired after 35 years at Polysar. Al took pride in everything he did; especially his yard.
Over the years he volunteered at the Sarnia legion and enjoyed many trips withSandy (late Paul) Goodacre. He was very fortunate to have such a good neighbour and friend Norma Dewey these last few years.
Al was fortunate to have received excellent care from  Dr. Yoshita, Dr.Lilly, and the cancer team from 2nd floor Bluewater Health Sarnia. We are also forever grateful to family physician, Dr. Sherwin and Al's PSW John from Care Partners and his RPN Theresa from Bayshore; everyone’s care for Al has been exceptional.
Per Al's request, he has been cremated with no visitation or service. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Bluewater Health Foundation or a charity of your choice in Al's memory.
