Eric Warburton - Aug 31, 1944- Dec 19, 2024

Peacefully on Thursday December 19th, after a long illness, Eric Warburton passed away at the age of 80. Beloved husband of Hazel Warburton. Loving father of Terry (Rob), Ian (Mary), and John (Shelly) and grandfather of Tyler, Rebecca (Damien), Alicia, Leah, Jake (Hyomin), Dean and Sean (Riley) and great grandfather of Brookelynne and Mason. Beloved brother of Anne (the late Jack). Eric was born in Stockport, England, and immigrated to Canada in 1969 where he built a wonderful life with his family. He worked at the Sarnia Shell Refinery for most of his working life. He enjoyed camping in Algonquin Park throughout his life with family, and later going up to the family cottage in Muskoka. Eric got hooked on football in the 80’s and was a lifelong Dallas Cowboys fan. His other passions were golf, which he played 4-5 times a week with Hazel and his grandson Tyler until recently, and bowling with the Shell Retirees. Eric also had a love of animals and enjoyed bird watching and feeding the chipmunks in the back yard. He would stop to pet every dog he encountered on the street and loved the family dogs Junior and Muggles. Cremation has taken place. In keeping with Eric’s wishes, no services will be held. The family gathered for a private celebration of life.
