THOMPSON,Michael John

Peacefully surrounded by his family, Michael John Thompson (Nahmabin) passed away Friday,July 21, 2023, at the age of 52.  Michael was born in Sarnia, Ontario, on December 31, 1970.   Mike will be lovingly remembered by Jennifer and her children Darian Chappelle (Rebecca), and Kendra Chappelle (Tishawn).  Pa to Journey Chappelle, Neviah, and  Ezekiel MacKenzie.   Stepbrother and sisters of Kenny (Angie),Margaret (James) and Chrissy.   Mike will also be forever missed by cousins Rob Hopkins (Linda), Cathy Banks (Mike), BethCook (Steve McLean, Terrie-Lynn Quaid (Jimmy), and Rachel Hopkins.  Michael will be fondly remembered by many cousins, extended family, and friends too many to mention.   Predeceased by his father Jack Thompson(Gloria), Nan Dorothy Thompson (Garfield), Barb Hopkins (John), and his sisterJody Beauchamp.   Michael enjoyed dancing, listening to Johnny Cash and playing the spoons to the oldies everySunday morning.  He also enjoyed family functions, especially for the assortment of food.  Mike was a member of the Carpenters UnionLocal 1256 & 1325 where he originally started in Fort McMurray.   A Celebration of Life will be held at the Sarnia Moose Lodge (Philip Street) on Thursday, July 27, 2023, from 2:00 pm-  6:00 pm.   Known as their Dad, he will be forever missed by his two best canine pals Mojo and Rysin.
