McMurtrie (Rubery), Bridget C.

May 20, 1933 - May 27, 2024

Bridget peacefully passed away on May 27, 2024, at Blue Water Health in Sarnia, Ontario, at the remarkable age of 91. She was born on May 20, 1933, in Malvern, England. Bridget lived through the Second World War in England. After the war, she saw a brighter future in Canada and decided to immigrate in 1956. She made Canada her home for the next 68 years, all while retaining her love of gardening, passion for reading and knowledge, and her charming British accent. Bridget was predeceased by her beloved parents and her identical twin brothers, Michael and Anthony Rubery. She leaves behind a loving family: her children Nigel (Carole), Marcia (late Jon), and Paul (Roberta); her grandchildren Carisa (Galen), Bryna (Charles), Lauren (Dru), Connor (Emily), Stewart (Kaleigh), and Moira (Jayden); and her cherished great-grandchildren, Lenna and George. A private family gathering was held. Bridget’s enduring spirit and the memories of her love and warmth will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
