HAYES, Linda Sue (of Forest, Ontario, age 76)

Peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospice of Sarnia, on Thursday, October 24, 2024, after a courageous four year battle with cancer.  Much loved wife and best friend of Rick Hayes for 43 years.   Dear mother of Gerry, Bobby, and Dominique D’Alessandro.  Dearest stepmother of Chris (Mellisa), Tim (Gillian), and Amy Hayes (Joe Triest).   Dear grandmother of Christa, Blaine, and Nathan.  Also dear Momma of Amanda, Daniel (Chris-Mel), Jordan, Blake (Tim-Gil) and Lauren, Kaleigh, and Riley (Amy).   Dear Great Momma of Marley (Amanda, Ryan).   Linda loved life.  No one was more determined to fight, and she did so always with a beautiful smile on her face, and not complaining.  She was an avid boater, gardener, and in recent years, enjoyed it at the trailer.  In keeping with her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life will be held at a future date.

Special thanks to Bluewater Health oncology, Drs. Yoshida, Lilly, and the dedicated staff.   Also special thanks to the many friends who have been there for us.   In honour of St. Joseph’s Hospice, memorial donations are being accepted to them for their hospitality and compassionate care.
