Gregory “Greg” Toye age 66, passed away surrounded by his loving family in his home on April 24, 2023. Born April 7, 1957, in Barrie, Ontario to Tena and Harry Toye. His battle with cancer showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile. Despite the struggle, Greg came out a hero and stayed strong until the end.

Greg was a graduate of Lambton College and led a successful career as a senior pipe designer at Tecsar Engineering for nearly four decades. His love and dedication for his career was shown in the quality of the work he put forth.

Greg loved working with his hands and took on many passions. One of which included woodworking. He took great pride in crafting cutting boards, tables, and wood handles for knives. Greg was an animal lover and spent much of his time by the pool or just outside enjoying the fresh air with his family.

Greg was a beautiful person inside and out. He cared so deeply for his family, friends, and work. He was funny, kind and made an impact on many lives. He will be forever missed.

Greg is survived by his wife Deborah and their children Derek, Andrea (husband Tyler Whelen and children Oliver and Everly-Grace), Michael, Angela, and Gabriel. Forever remembered by his siblings Barbara Toye and Bruce Toye.

Private cremation has been entrusted to Lakeview Cemetery Burial and Cremation Services. A Celebration of Life will beheld at Big Family Brewing Company from 3-6PM on May 4, 2023.
