CRAWFORD, Pauline Faith
We are heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved mom Pauline Faith (Eden) Crawford on November 16, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer. Mom passed away peacefully with her daughters by her side. To know mom was to love her. Her kind and caring spirit will be missed by all those who knew her.
Mom was the proud mother of her three daughters, Janice (Terry), Jill (Mike), and Lisa (late Mark), and the cherished grandma to Marla (Steve), Taylor (Meighan), Kendal (Jade), Kelsey (Adam), Haley (Kevin), Kelan (Amber), Liam (Mady), and Alyssa (Xander). Mom was absolutely delighted to be GG to Morley, Berkley, Adley, Eden, Charlotte, and Meadow.
Mom was predeceased by her husband of 52 years, Ray, her parents Don and Emily Eden, her brother and sister-in-law Brad and Sheila Eden, and her sister Donna Eden.
Mom was born and raised in London, Ontario, and she moved to Sarnia in 1957 when she married our dad, Ray.
Family was everything to mom, and her most treasured moments were those spent together. Many happy memories were made at our family cottage on the Bruce Peninsula that mom and dad (and daughters too!) built together. It always held a special place in mom’s heart, as did the many, many Scrabble games we played there with her. She was delighted to see 5 generations enjoy time “up north” at the lake.
As global travellers to more than 50 countries, mom and dad would venture off the beaten track to remote places very few people would travel to. From hiking in the jungles of Irian Jaya to travelling across the Gobi Desert, mom and dad were always up for an adventure. Mom was fascinated by penguins and was excited to see them in Patagonia.
While we were young, mom enjoyed her time volunteering as a Brownie leader and with the Canadian Cancer Society and the Kidney Foundation. Mom later worked at Bud Cullen’s constituency office and for Life Labs.
Mom was fortunate to have a wonderful circle of friends and neighbours. She really looked forward to tea parties with her friends and wing nights with her neighbours. We are grateful for their kind support and love for our mom. We also wish to thank Dr. Lebert, Dr. MacSweeney, and the amazing staff at St. Joseph’s Hospice for their compassionate care for our family.
A celebration of mom’s life will take place at a later date.
Those wishing to make a memorial donation are asked to consider the Canadian Cancer Society or St. Joseph’s Hospice. Memories and condolences may be sent online at mainoffice@lakeviewcemetery.ca
