Judith Ann Burgess April 7, 1945 – April 13, 2025

With deep sorrow and heavy hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Judith Ann Burgess on April 13, 2025, just days after her 80th birthday. Born in Petrolia on April 7, 1945, Judy was the cherished daughter of the late Sam and Velma Neely.

Judy was a woman of quiet strength and immense love. She leaves behind her devoted husband of 60 years, Bill Burgess, with whom she built a life centered around unwavering commitment, love, and family. She was the beloved mother of Shelley, Paul (Erica), Marnie (Spencer), and Jennifer (Jay) — each of whom she loved with all of her heart, every single day.

Judy's pride and joy were her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who lovingly knew her as a constant source of warmth, laughter, and comfort. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Ashley, Jordan, Trevor, Nicole, Gavin, Peyton, Easton, Charlotte, Alyx, and Darian, and her great-grandchildren: Ariel, Gracie, Frankie, and Charlie.

A passionate and present grandmother, Judy spent countless hours on the floor surrounded by toys, singing songs, making crafts, and creating lifelong memories with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. These moments weren’t just activities for her — they were her joy, her purpose, and her legacy.

Judy is also lovingly remembered by her sister Jackie (Rob) and brother Larry (Sharon). She was predeceased by her sister Janet, whose memory she held close.

Though Judy was a very private person, to be part of her circle was to be fiercely loved and protected. Her love was the kind that wrapped around you like a blanket — quiet, steady, and deeply felt. Her life revolved around her family, and she showed her love not through words, but through endless acts of devotion, patience, and care.

Cremation has taken place, and a private graveside service will be held in accordance with her wishes. While we will miss her presence every day, we take comfort in knowing that Judy’s love lives on in every laugh of a grandchild, every family gathering, and every memory shared around the table.

In our hearts forever — a mother, grandmother, sister, wife, and friend. Rest gently, Judy. You were so deeply loved.
