BRAD MASSEY

It is with broken hearts that Cathy, Scott (Kylie Donkers) and Erin (Justin Douglas)Massey announce the passing their cherished husband and father, Bradley Scott Massey, at Bluewater Health on Monday, June 19, 2023.

Brad was predeceased by his parents Bert and Jean Massey and brother Paul (Ginny)Massey. He is survived by the Curry siblings, Jane & Dave, Jim (late Karin), Joe & Kelly, Colleen & Steve, their families and the family dogs Olive and Walter.  Brad will be fondly remembered by his Tomkins cousins, Uncle Reg Britton, his co-workers at Sarnia Piping Specialties and our wonderful neighbors and supportive friends.

Brad started his instrument technologist career at Dow. For 23 years, Brad was a hard working employee at SPS where he designed, installed and tested system integration assemblies. His designs would be installed as far away as Singapore. His skill was unmatched leading SPS to new markets, customers and furthering the company’s reputation in the petrochemical industry.  Brad’s love of photography was reflected in his drive for perfection in himself and all aspects of his work. Attention to detail and good old fashioned thinking set him apart and laid the groundwork to those he mentored.

Brad’s proudest achievement and joy in life was Erin and Scott. He photographed their first steps, days of school and graduations and was so proud of their chosen careers.  Brad was the honorary photographer  of Scott’s St. Chris football team and Erin’s equestrian events.

Our best memories include his love of sports, heavy metal music and his colorful vocabulary.  Brad was a boat nerd and loved fishing along the St. Clair River.

Our family would like to recognize the Medical Professionals and support staff in Sarnia and London that kept his heart pumping for the last seven years.   We are most grateful to Dr. J. O’Mahoney and for the care and comfort of the ICU Nurses in recent weeks.

Finally, thank you to Brad for 35 years of marriage to Cathy.  He leaves us with the legacy of a loving family and lots of cherished laughs.

Cremation has taken place at Lakeview Cemetery. A celebration of Brad’s life will be planned for this summer.  Expressions of sympathy can be made to your charity of choice.

Rest along the river Brizzy 🎣
