Anthony Joseph Gough
January 24, 1934 – December 17, 2022
It is with a heavy heart we announce the death of Anthony Joseph Gough.
Anthony passed away peacefully at Bluewater Health, Sarnia on December 17th, 2022, at the age of 88.
Anthony will be deeply missed by his wife Daphne (Delahoyde) and his 4 Sons, Wayne, Glenn, Lance (Erica), and Yuma. Grandpa Joe will always be fondly remembered by his six grandchildren: Connell, Layla, Magnus, Lily, Rory and Poppy.
Anthony was a proud Irish man raised in Garristown, County Meath, Ireland. He was one of 7 boys and 2 girls. He is survived by brothers Michael (Anita), Ollie (May) and Johnnie as well as many extended family in Ireland. Predeceased by his parents Anthony Joseph and Christina Ryan Gough, his brothers Breen, Desmond and Jimmy and by sisters, Patty and Mary.
Anthony moved to Canada from Ireland and found employment with the Boilermakers Union Local 128, in which he worked for many years until retiring.
He was the best fixer of anything broken and had an impressive wealth of knowledge.
We will miss him dearly and will never forget his mischievous laugh.
Cremation has already taken place at Lakeview Cemetery. Anthony’s family will remember him privately.
